Iman Behrouzi is an Iranian-American film director, producer, and writer. Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, he developed a passion for the medium of cinema at an early age. After completing his studies at the University of Tehran in Film and Television, he moved to the United States where he worked in the film industry for a number of years.

His first feature film, "The Mice Room" (2006), premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City and went on to be presented at other festivals around the world, including the London Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival, where it won the Gold Hugo Award for Best Feature. The film explored the experiences of Iranian youth in the aftermath of the 1979 Islamic revolution.

In 2008, Behrouzi wrote and directed the critically acclaimed drama "No One Knows About Persian Cats," which follows two young Iranians as they search for musicians to form an underground rock band in Tehran. The film was awarded the Un Certain Regard Special Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best International Film.

In recent years, Behrouzi has directed and produced a number of feature films and documentaries. He wrote and directed the drama "Dreams of Passage" (2016), which centers on a young Iranian girl's journey to the United States. The film was presented at the San Francisco International Film Festival and received numerous awards and accolades.

In addition to his film work, Behrouzi is an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Directors Guild of America. He is a mentor to aspiring filmmakers and has lectured at various film schools around the world. His work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and Variety.
