Guillaume Massart is a Belgian film director, producer, and actor. He is known for his work on the documentary film “The Wall” (2015), which was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

Massart was born in Brussels, Belgium on January 17, 1984. He studied at the Université catholique de Louvain, where he received a B.A. in audiovisual communication and a M.A. in media studies. Massart was always passionate about filmmaking and decided to pursue it as a career.

In 2006, Massart made his feature film debut with “The Wall”, which was about a young man living in a slum in the suburbs of Brussels. The film was a critical success, and it was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival.

After “The Wall”, Massart went on to direct several other films, including “The Last Time I Saw You” (2008), “The Tree” (2010), “Brothers” (2011), and “For Love” (2012). His films have been screened at numerous film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, the Chicago International Film Festival, and the Venice Film Festival.

In addition to filmmaking, Massart has also acted in several films, including “The Wall”, “The Last Time I Saw You”, and “Brothers”. He has also acted in television shows, including “The Bridge” (2009) and “The Tunnel” (2012).

Massart has won several awards for his work, including the Grand Prix at the Montreal World Film Festival, the Best Director Award at the Brussels International Film Festival, and the Best Screenplay Award at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival.

Massart continues to work in the film industry, both as a director and as an actor. His latest film, “The Dream” (2018), is set to be released soon. He is also slated to direct a feature film adaptation of the novel “The Guardian of the Castle”, which is currently in pre-production.
