Martin Prinoth (born April 17, 1960) is an Italian film director and screenwriter known for his award-winning films and documentaries. He is best known for his feature films such as La Strada (1996) and Il Postino (2001), both of which won numerous awards and gained him international recognition.

Born in the Italian town of Diano Marina, Prinoth began his career as a filmmaker in the late 1980s. He gained prominence in the early 90s with his debut feature film, La Strada, which won numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was a critical success and gained Prinoth international attention and acclaim.
