Return to Visegard - Reuniting divided children of war-torn Yugoslavia
In April 1992, the war in Yugoslavia brought unimaginable destruction and division, particularly in the town of Višegrad, Eastern Bosnia, where Muslim and Serbian students were forcibly separated by conflict.
Fast forward 25 years, and Budimir Zecevic, the former school principal, alongside Djemila Krsmanovic, the widow of one of his closest colleagues, take to the road in an old Zastava. Their mission is to reunite the now-adult children who were once divided by war.
This poignant journey is a testament to the enduring power of reconciliation and the human spirit's capacity for healing.
