Weronika Mliczewska is an award-winning director, writer, and producer who has been working in the film industry since 2001. She is best known for her work on feature films such as “The Art of Loving” and “The High Sun”, as well as her television series “The Stranger” and “Paradise”.

Mliczewska was born in Gdansk, Poland, in 1981. She studied at the University of Gdansk and the National Film School in Łódź, graduating in 2007. During her studies, she wrote and directed several short films, which earned her the attention of critics and filmmakers alike.

In 2008, Mliczewska wrote and directed her first feature film, “The Art of Loving”. The film was widely praised and went on to win the Grand Prix at the Warsaw Film Festival. Mliczewska followed this success with her second feature film, “The High Sun”, which premiered at Cannes in 2015. The film was nominated for the Palme d’Or and won the Jury Prize.

Mliczewska has since gone on to write and direct a variety of television series, including “The Stranger”, which was nominated for an International Emmy Award. She has also directed the feature films “The Red Spider” and “The Son”, both of which premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival.
