Vladimir Todorovic is a Serbian film director, producer and writer. He is best known for his work on films such as The Battle of Kosovo (1989), The Wounds (1998) and The Trap (2009).
Todorovic was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1952. He studied journalism at Belgrade University and later began working as a radio and television journalist. He also worked as a documentary filmmaker for the Yugoslavian television network RTV Belgrade.
In 1989, he directed his first feature film, The Battle of Kosovo. The film was a critically acclaimed historical epic set during the Battle of Kosovo in 1389 in which the Ottoman Empire defeated the Serbian forces. The success of the film led to him becoming one of the most important filmmakers in Yugoslavia.
Todorovic has since worked on a variety of films, ranging from war dramas to romantic comedies. He directed The Wounds in 1998, a drama about a young man's journey to discover his father's past during the Yugoslav wars. The film was a success in Serbia and won numerous awards.
In 2009, Todorovic released The Trap, a crime thriller about a group of criminals in Belgrade. The film was praised for its realistic depiction of crime in Belgrade and was well received at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
Todorovic has also produced and written a number of films, including the romantic comedy Love Me (2006) and the drama The Victim (2010).
