Victor Di Marco is an award-winning film director, producer, and screenwriter. He was born in New York City and began his career directing television commercials in the early 1990s. He quickly gained recognition for his work, winning a Clio Award for a commercial he directed in 1992.

Di Marco made his feature-length directorial debut in 1995 with the drama The Killing Machine, starring Treat Williams and Daphne Zuniga. The film was critically acclaimed, and Di Marco won several awards for his direction, including an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best First Feature.

In 1997, Di Marco followed up with the romantic comedy The Night We Never Met, starring Matthew Broderick and Annabella Sciorra. The film was a critical success and earned Di Marco his first Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
