Toufic Beyhum is a Lebanese director, writer and producer. Born in Beirut in 1949, Beyhum has been involved in the Lebanese film industry since the late 1970s. During this time, he has directed and produced numerous films, television series and documentaries.

Toufic Beyhum's first feature film, 'Nafas Al Qamar' ('The Breath of the Moon'), was released in 1982. The film was an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Lebanese author Nizar Qabbani. It was an immediate success, winning the best film award at the Arab Film Festival in Cairo in 1983 and receiving a nomination for best foreign film at the 1985 César Awards.

Beyhum's next feature film, 'Ala Ma Yakon' ('He Who Shall Not Come'), was released in 1986. The film was an adaptation of a novel by the same name by Lebanese author Amin Maalouf. The film received critical acclaim and won the best screenplay award at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival in 1987.

Beyhum's third feature film, 'Haq Al Raheb' ('The Right of the Priest'), was released in 1989. The film was an adaptation of a novel by the same name by Lebanese author Husayn Al-Barghouti. The film was a success, winning several awards at the 1989 Cairo International Film Festival, including Best Director.

In 1990, Beyhum released his fourth feature film, 'Hajar Al Aswad' ('The Black Stone'), which was an adaptation of a novel by the same name by Lebanese author Adonis. The film won the Grand Prize at the 1990 Venice Film Festival.

In 1992, Beyhum released his fifth feature film, 'Al Masih' ('The Messiah'), which was an adaptation of a novel by the same name by Lebanese author Elias Khoury. The film was a success, winning the Grand Prize at the 1993 Carthage Film Festival.

Toufic Beyhum has continued to direct and produce films, television series and documentaries in the years since. In recent years, he has become increasingly involved in documentary filmmaking, with documentaries such as 'Al Amal' ('Hope'), which was screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012, and 'Al Watar' ('The Water'), which was screened at the Dubai International Film Festival in 2014.
