Syd Heather is a multi-award winning director and producer who has had a highly successful career in the film and television industry. He is best known for his work on feature films such as The Blind Side, The Other Guys, and the television series, Game of Thrones.

Heather was born in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of Southern California (USC), where he earned a degree in film and television production. After graduation, he worked as an assistant director for a number of Hollywood films, including Armageddon, The Devil's Advocate, and The Matrix.

In 2006, Heather made his directorial debut with the feature film The Blind Side. The drama was well received by critics and grossed over $309 million at the box office. The success of the film earned Heather his first Academy Award nomination for Best Director.

Heather continued to direct and produce a number of successful films and television series. In 2009, he directed the comedy The Other Guys, which grossed over $170 million at the box office. In 2011, he directed the romantic comedy What's Your Number?, which grossed over $77 million at the box office.

In 2011, Heather began working on the HBO series, Game of Thrones. He directed the sixth episode of the first season, titled "The Pointy End," and the fourth episode of the second season, titled "Garden of Bones." He also directed the pilot episode of the show's spinoff series, Game of Thrones: The Watch.

In addition to his work on film and television, Heather is also a highly respected commercial director. He has directed spots for numerous brands, including Apple, Mercedes-Benz, Pepsi, and Microsoft.
