Stefan Stuckert is a German film and television director, producer, and cinematographer. He is best known for his work in the internationally acclaimed television series ‘Tatort’ and his work with German production companies such as UFA Fiction, Bavaria Film, and Studio Hamburg.

Stefan was born in 1968 in Germany and grew up in a family of artists. He began his career as a photographer and his work has been featured in numerous magazines and exhibitions. After studying film at the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen (HFF) in Munich, Stefan began his professional career in the film industry in 1992.

Stefan’s first feature film was ‘Der Eisbär’, which he directed and produced in 1999. The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and won the German Screen Award. He then went on to direct several other feature films, including ‘Das Boot’ (2002) and ‘Der Tunnel’ (2004). In 2006, Stefan made his television debut with the hit series ‘Tatort’. He directed several episodes of the show and served as a producer on the series.

In 2007, Stefan was approached by UFA Fiction to direct ‘Das Adlon’, a six-part miniseries for German television. The show was a great success and earned him a nomination for the German Television Award. He has also directed several other television series, including ‘Türkisch für Anfänger’ (2009) and ‘Der Kriminalist’ (2011).

In addition to his work in television and film, Stefan has also directed music videos for artists such as Herbert Grönemeyer and Peter Maffay. He has also worked as a cinematographer on several feature films, including ‘Lola rennt’ (1998) and ‘Der letzte Zug’ (2006).

Stefan is an acclaimed director who has achieved great success in both film and television.
