Seán Ó Cualáin is an IFTA award-winning Irish documentary and feature film director known for his diverse and compelling storytelling. His career began with Mé Féin’s Mo Mhéit (2002), a documentary about two former boat racing champions that was hailed as a defining work for TG4, praised for its confident and understated visual storytelling.

Over the years, Ó Cualáin has directed numerous acclaimed films for TG4 and RTÉ, demonstrating a remarkable range of subjects and themes. His filmography includes Dara Beag – File Pobail (2004), Rí an Fhocail (2007), Lón sa Spéir / Men at Lunch (2012), Mise Raiftearaí an Fíodóir Focal / I Am Raftery, The Weaver of Words (2013), and Crash and Burn (2016), a documentary about racing driver Tommy Byrne.
