BIO

Ryley Grunenwald is an award-winning director and producer. He was born in California and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. He started his career as a production assistant in the entertainment industry before moving into directing.

Ryley’s first feature film, "The Harvest," premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and went on to win numerous awards including Best Narrative Feature at the 2011 South by Southwest Film Festival. The film was also featured at the Cannes Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.

Ryley then went on to direct several short films including "Lovely Day," which was an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival. He also directed the documentary film "The Starfish Throwers," which was an official selection at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.

In addition to his work in film, Ryley has also directed television shows and commercials. His work has been featured on networks such as HBO, Showtime, A&E, and the National Geographic Channel. He has also directed commercials for brands such as McDonald’s, Hershey’s, and Burger King.

Ryley is currently in pre-production for his latest feature film, "The Unforgiven," which is due to be released in 2020. He is also developing a television series for HBO and a feature film adaptation of the novel "The Lost Prophet."

Ryley is passionate about bringing stories to life and using his work to make a positive impact in the world. He believes in creating work that is meaningful and speaks to issues that affect us all.
