Ronya Yu is a Taiwanese-American director best known for her narrative short films, music videos, and commercial content. She has been directing since the mid-2000s and is celebrated for her unique visual style.

Born in Taiwan, Ronya moved to the United States at a young age and was raised in Los Angeles, California. Ronya developed an interest in film and storytelling at an early age, and as a teen she taught herself filmmaking and editing skills.

Ronya began making short films in the mid-2000s, and her first major film was the 2009 short film, “The Record Store.” The film was well-received and won an award at the Los Angeles Women’s Film Festival.

Ronya went on to direct music videos for major artists, including Miley Cyrus and Maroon 5. She has also directed commercials for major brands, such as Nike, Apple, and Microsoft.

Ronya’s films have been shown in various film festivals, including the Tribeca Film Festival and the San Francisco International Film Festival. She has also been featured in publications such as The New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter.
