Robert Greene is a highly acclaimed documentary filmmaker and author. He is best known for films such as Fake It So Real (2010), Actress (2014), and Bisbee '17 (2018).

Greene was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1976. He grew up in a middle-class family and attended Friends School of Baltimore, where he developed an interest in filmmaking. After high school, Greene attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studied film production.

Greene’s first feature film, Fake It So Real, was released in 2010. The film follows a group of wrestlers in rural North Carolina and was praised for its nuanced portrait of American life.

In 2013, Greene released the critically acclaimed documentary Actress, which followed the life of former child star Brandy Burre. Actress was praised for its sensitive and compassionate portrayal of Burre.
