Nischal Poudyal is an Indian filmmaker and writer. He is best known for his work on the critically acclaimed films, 'Chauranga' (2016), 'I am Micro' (2015), 'Love in the time of Adversity' (2014), and 'The Coffin Maker' (2013).

Born in a small village of Dhading, Nepal, Poudyal began his film career in 2006, when he made his first short film, 'The Dream Of The Fisherman'. He then went on to study filmmaking at the University of Mumbai, and has since established himself as one of the most talented filmmakers in the country.

Poudyal's directorial debut 'The Coffin Maker' was based on a short story by Rabindranath Tagore. The film was a critical success and it won several awards, including the National Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. It also marked the beginning of Poudyal's successful career in the Indian film industry.

In 2015, Poudyal directed the film, 'I am Micro', which was based on the life of a hearing-impaired child living in a slum. The film was critically acclaimed and it won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film.

Poudyal's biggest success so far has been his 2016 film, 'Chauranga'. The film tells the story of a young boy from a rural area of India, and his struggles to escape poverty and caste discrimination.
