BIO

Murielle Scherre is a Belgian film director, screenwriter, and producer. She is best known for her work on films such as “Au nom des miens” and “Les Petits Souliers.”

Murielle was born in Leuven, Belgium in 1975. She attended the IAD School of Film and Audiovisual Arts in Brussels where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in film directing. She then went on to pursue her Master’s degree in film directing at the same university.

Murielle’s first feature-length film, “Au nom des miens”, was released in 2003. The movie was a success and was nominated for the Magritte Award for Best Belgian Film. Her second feature-length film, “Les Petits Souliers”, was released in 2006 and was also nominated for the Magritte Award for Best Belgian Film.

In 2008, Murielle released her third feature-length film, “Les Invisibles”. The film received critical acclaim and won several awards, including the Magritte Award for Best Belgian Film.

In 2011, Murielle released her fourth feature-length film, “Les Dames du Bois de Boulogne”. The film was a success and was nominated for the Magritte Award for Best Belgian Film.

In 2013, Murielle released her fifth feature-length film, “L’Invisible”. The film was a success and won several awards, including the Magritte Award for Best Belgian Film.

Murielle has also worked in television, directing several episodes of the French series “Plus belle la vie”. In 2016, she released her sixth feature-length film, “Les Oiseaux de Passage”. The film received critical acclaim and was nominated for the Magritte Award for Best Belgian Film.

Murielle’s films have been screened at several international film festivals, including the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival.
