Monika Pawluczuk is a Polish film director and screenwriter, known for her films such as ‘The Art of Loving’, ‘Man on the Roof’ and ‘The Unseen’. She is a graduate of the National Film School in Łódź, Poland.

Monika Pawluczuk was born in a small village in Poland in 1984. She grew up surrounded by nature, which would later become her inspiration for film making. From a young age, Monika was interested in art and film, and it was this passion that led her to pursue a degree in Film Directing at the National Film School in Łódź.

During her time at the National Film School, Monika directed several short films, which were praised for their powerful visuals and engaging stories. Her graduation film, ‘Man on the Roof’, won numerous awards and was screened at many international film festivals.

After graduating, Monika moved to Warsaw and began working as a freelance director. She directed a number of commercials and music videos, which earned her critical acclaim. She also directed her first feature film, ‘The Art of Loving’, in 2010. The film was nominated for the Grand Prize at the Warsaw Film Festival and won the Silver Lion at the Gdynia Film Festival.

In 2012, Monika released her second feature film, ‘The Unseen’, which was an adaptation of a novel by the same name. The film was praised by critics and won several awards, including the Golden Lion at the Gdynia Film Festival.

Monika has also directed a few television series, including ‘Far From the Sea’ and ‘The Danube’. She is currently working on her next feature film, ‘The Quiet’, which is set to be released in 2018.

Monika Pawluczuk is a talented and ambitious film director whose work has been recognized both nationally and internationally. Her creativity and passion for film making have earned her a place among the most respected film directors in Poland.
