Matthias Krepp is a German-born director and producer based in Los Angeles, California. He is best known for his work in the film industry, having directed and produced a number of feature films, television episodes, and documentaries. His career began in the early 2000s with a number of short films and music videos that went on to receive awards at international film festivals.

Krepp was born in Berlin, Germany in 1975, and developed an early interest in film, television, and music. He studied film and video production at the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned his degree in 2002 before immediately jumping into the industry. His first short film, Zeitgeist, was released in 2003 and went on to win awards at numerous international film festivals.

Krepp quickly gained attention in the industry, and soon began directing and producing a number of feature films. His first feature, Hollow Man (2005), starring Josh Hartnett and Paul Walker, was a critical and commercial success, and won several awards, including a nomination for Best Director at the 2005 Los Angeles Film Festival. He followed this up with the drama, Numb (2007), starring Matthew Perry and Lynn Collins, which was also well-received.

Krepp has also been involved in a number of television projects. He was a producer on the hit ABC series, Castle, for three seasons, and has directed episodes of shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, 90210, and Private Practice. He also directed the television movie, My Mother’s Secret (2012), starring Jessica Lowndes and Jonathan Bennett.

In addition to his work in the narrative space, Krepp has also directed a number of documentaries. His first, The Unseen (2015), which featured interviews with a number of prominent figures in the film industry, was released to critical acclaim. He also directed the documentary, The Price of Fame (2017), which focused on the life of actor and comedian Rodney Dangerfield.
