Kimon Tsakiris is a Greek film director, screenwriter, and producer. Born in Athens in 1977, Tsakiris graduated from the University of Athens in 2001 with a degree in film studies. Following his graduation, he began working as an assistant director on various films and television shows.

In 2006, Tsakiris wrote, directed, and produced his first feature film, The Island. The film was well-received and earned Tsakiris a nomination for Best Director at the Greek Film Awards. After his success with The Island, Tsakiris went on to direct numerous other critically acclaimed films, such as The Betrayal (2008), The Hunter (2010), and The Storm (2013).

Tsakiris is known for his unique directorial style, which often combines elements of horror, suspense, and drama. His films often explore the darker side of human nature and the struggles of the human soul. His films typically focus on the personal struggles of the characters, and how their decisions and actions affect not only themselves but also those around them.

In addition to his film work, Tsakiris has also directed music videos for various Greek artists, such as Anna Vissi and Eleftheria Arvanitaki. He has also directed several commercials for large companies such as Nestle and Samsung.

Tsakiris has received numerous awards and accolades for his work, including the Greek National Film Award for Best Director in 2010, and the European Film Award for Best Director in 2011.
