Juan Manuel Repetto is an award-winning Argentine film director and screenwriter. His career began in the 1980s, when he began writing and directing short films. He has since gone on to make feature-length films, TV series, and documentaries.

Repetto was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1959. He studied theatre and film at the National University of Córdoba and the National University of La Plata. He made his directorial debut in 1983 with the short film "La casa de los pájaros". The film was well-received, and it paved the way for his career as a director.

Repetto's first feature-length film was "Los lunes al sol" (2002). The film was a critical and commercial success, and it won several awards at the Gijón International Film Festival. The success of this film opened doors for Repetto in the international film industry. He went on to make several more feature-length films, including "La memoria del agua" (2005), "Los tiempos de Patricia" (2006), and "La vida moderna" (2008).
