Jairo Boisier is a renowned film director, producer, and screenwriter from Chile. He was born on October 8, 1967 in Santiago, Chile. He is the son of the renowned Chilean writer and poet, Luis Boisier.
Jairo began his film career as an actor in the early 1980s. He soon moved to directing and producing, and his first feature was the thriller "El Secreto del Agua" (The Secret of Water), which was released in 1989.
Since then, he has directed several films, including "El Bucle" (The Loop) in 1992, "Cuentos de la Lluvia" (Tales of the Rain) in 1997, "La Nona" (Grandmother) in 1999, and "La Noche de los Lápices" (The Night of the Pencils) in 2002. He has also produced and written a number of films.
