Ido Weisman is a celebrated Israeli film director and writer best known for his work in the psychological thriller genre. Born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1972, Weisman began his career as a film editor in the late 1990s. He made his directorial debut in 2003 with the critically acclaimed film, The Angel’s Share. Since then, he has directed several acclaimed films including the psychological thriller, The Whistler (2006), and the supernatural drama, The Night Watchman (2009).

Weisman's films often explore the darker side of human nature and the fragility of the human psyche.
