Gabriele Licchelli is an Italian director known for his films exploring the world of youth, music, and culture. He has directed several feature films, documentaries, and short films.

Licchelli was born in Rome, Italy, in 1968. He studied at the Libreria del Cinema in Rome from 1989 to 1993. During this time, he developed his skills in directing, editing, and cinematography. After graduating, Licchelli began working as a freelance director in various television programs. In 2000, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Ragazzi, which earned him international recognition.

Licchelli then went on to direct several other films, including the documentary La Troia, about the life of an Italian singer, and the short film Il ragazzo, about a young Italian boy and his relationship with his family. He also directed the feature film L'Elefante Bianco, about a group of Italian teenagers who have to make a difficult decision.
