Frédéric Guillaume is a French director and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the highly acclaimed French television series Le Bureau des Légendes and his feature film debut, The Disciple.
Guillaume was born in Paris, France in 1974. He attended the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre, where he studied directing. After graduating, he began his career as a director and screenwriter for the theater, directing a number of critically acclaimed plays.
In 2012, Guillaume made his feature film debut with The Disciple, a psychological drama starring French actor Guillaume Canet. The film was an instant success, winning numerous awards including the Golden Star at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
