Frédéric Guillaume is a French director and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the highly acclaimed French television series Le Bureau des Légendes and his feature film debut, The Disciple.

Guillaume was born in Paris, France in 1974. He attended the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre, where he studied directing. After graduating, he began his career as a director and screenwriter for the theater, directing a number of critically acclaimed plays.

In 2012, Guillaume made his feature film debut with The Disciple, a psychological drama starring French actor Guillaume Canet. The film was an instant success, winning numerous awards including the Golden Star at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

In 2015, Guillaume made his first foray into television with the highly acclaimed French series, Le Bureau des Légendes. The series follows the lives of a group of secret agents working for the French intelligence agency, the DGSE. The series was a huge success, winning numerous awards and garnering critical acclaim.

In 2018, Guillaume directed his second feature film, The White Crow, a biopic about the life of legendary Russian ballet dancer, Rudolf Nureyev. The film was well-received, earning a nomination for Best Foreign Language Film at the 2019 Academy Awards.

In 2020, Guillaume directed his third feature film, The Invisible Life of Eurídice Gusmão, an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Brazilian author Martha Batalha. The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival and was critically acclaimed, earning numerous awards including Best Foreign Language Film at the 23rd European Film Awards.
