Fan Wu is a Chinese-American film and television director. He is best known for his work on the hit series The Walking Dead, as well as on the feature films The Big Sick and A Simple Favor. He was born in China in 1980 and immigrated to the United States at the age of 13.

Growing up, Fan was fascinated by films and television, and he quickly developed a passion for storytelling. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Southern California, majoring in film production and completing a Masters in Fine Arts. During this time, he wrote and directed several short films, which were very well-received.
