Drago Toroman is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. He has coached teams in numerous countries around the world, notably in Serbia, Israel, and Iran. Toroman has also won several championship titles, including Eurocup, the Adriatic League, and the FIBA Asia Champions Cup.

Toroman was born on April 24, 1958, in Smederevo, Serbia. He began his basketball career at age 18, playing for the youth team of FMP Železnik. He then moved to Yugoslavia's top basketball league, the YUBA League, where he played for three teams over the next six years. During this period, he earned a diploma in Physical Education from the University of Belgrade.

In the late 1980s, Toroman made the move to coaching. He began his coaching career with his former team, FMP Železnik, leading them to two consecutive YUBA League titles in 1988 and 1989. This success propelled Toroman to greater heights, and from 1989 to 1992, he served as the head coach of the Yugoslavian men’s national team. In 1992, Toroman led Yugoslavia to a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.

In 1993, Toroman moved to Israel to coach Hapoel Tel Aviv, leading them to two Israeli League championships and two Israeli Cup titles. After a successful stint with Hapoel, he moved to Turkey to coach Efes Pilsen, leading them to the Turkish Cup championship.

In 2006, Toroman was appointed head coach of the Iranian national team. During his tenure, he led Iran to the gold medal in the 2010 Asian Games, and to a semi-final appearance in the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship. In 2012, he was named head coach of the Serbian national team, and led them to a silver medal at the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

In 2015, Toroman returned to his hometown of Smederevo to coach the local club, OKK Beograd. He led them to the Adriatic League championship that year. After a brief stint with the Iranian club Petrochimi Bandar Imam, Toroman returned to Serbia and was appointed head coach of the Partizan Belgrade. He led Partizan to numerous victories, including two consecutive Adriatic League titles in 2018 and 2019.
