David Nicolas Parel is a French director, screenwriter and producer born in Paris, France. He is best known for his work on short films such as Un Monde Meilleur (2008), which won him the Jury Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Parel began his career in the film industry in 2005 as a film producer, working on several well-known films such as La Chambre des Morts (2005) and Le Ciel Haute (2006). In 2008, he made his directing debut with the short film Un Monde Meilleur, which was well received by critics and audiences alike.
In 2010, Parel went on to direct his first feature film, Les Yeux Bleus, which was nominated for a Cesar Award for Best First Film. The film follows the story of a young boy who is struggling to find his place in society.
