Coline Confort is an award-winning director and writer who has been making films since the early 2000s. She is best known for her work on films such as The Red Room, La Femme Aux Yeux Verts, and Le Petit Jardin.

Confort was born in Paris, France and grew up in a family of filmmakers. Her father was a cinematographer and her mother was a producer, so she was surrounded by the world of cinema from a young age. She attended the prestigious Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Cinema in Paris, where she studied film directing and screenwriting.

After graduating, Confort wrote and directed several award-winning short films, including Douzes, which won the César Award for Best Short Film in 2005. She then wrote and directed her first feature film, The Red Room, which won the Prix du Public at the 2008 Festival International du Film Francophone de Namur.

In 2010, Confort wrote and directed her second feature film, La Femme Aux Yeux Verts, which was nominated for the Best First Feature Film at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. Her third feature film, Le Petit Jardin, was released in 2013 and won the Grand Prix at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.

Confort has since gone on to write and direct several more feature films, including La Belle Sauvage in 2016 and The Wilds in 2018. She is also a prolific television director, having directed episodes of shows such as The Returned and The Bureau.

Confort's films are known for their strong female characters and their focus on themes of self-discovery and identity.
