Chandrasekhar Reddy is an Indian film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for directing films in the Kannada language and has been credited with making some of the highest grossing Kannada films of all time.

Reddy was born in 1983 in the city of Bangalore, India. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India in 2004, where he studied directing. He began his career in the film industry working as an assistant director and assistant editor on several projects before making his directorial debut in 2008 with the Kannada language drama film, Aa Dinagalu.

Reddy’s success with Aa Dinagalu, which was both a critical and commercial success, established him as a notable director in the Kannada film industry. He went on to direct a number of commercially successful Kannada films, including the family drama Manasina Maathu (2011), the romantic comedy Neer Dose (2016), and the sports drama Chakravyuha (2016).

Reddy has also produced several Kannada films such as the crime thriller Bharjari (2017), the romantic drama Yajamana (2019), and the action comedy Girmit (2019). Additionally, he has written the story and screenplay for several of his own films, including the action comedy Shourya (2014) and the romantic drama Pushpaka Vimana (2017).

Reddy’s creative vision and unique style of filmmaking have earned him multiple awards and nominations. He has won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Director twice, for his work on the films Aa Dinagalu and Yajamana.
