Beatriz Palacios is a Mexican film director, producer, and screenwriter. Born in Mexico City in 1978, Palacios grew up in a family of filmmakers and was influenced by the works of her father, a prominent Mexican director. After studying film production and direction at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico City, Palacios began her career as an editor for television.

In 2006, Palacios wrote and directed her first feature film, La vida precoz y breve de Sabina Rivas. The film received critical acclaim and was a commercial success, winning several awards at international film festivals. Palacios then wrote, directed, and produced her second feature film, La toma de Zacatecas, which was released in 2010 and earned her numerous awards.

In 2011, Palacios founded her own production company, Beatriz Palacios Films. She has since directed and produced several projects, including the feature films Las amigas de Ángeles and El año del tigre, as well as several short films. Palacios has also served as a screenwriter and producer on several films, including the critically acclaimed El año del tigre.

Throughout her career, Palacios has been praised for her unique and creative approach to filmmaking. Her films often explore social issues, such as gender roles, poverty, and immigration, while at the same time celebrating Mexican culture.
