BIO

Antonella Gaeta is an Italian film director, producer, and screenwriter. She is known for her work in film and television, often exploring themes of love, family, and human relationships.

Born in Rome, Italy, Gaeta began her film career in the early 2000s. She studied film production at La Sapienza University of Rome and, while there, she created her first short films. Her student films, which explored the themes of love, family, and relationships, caught the attention of the Italian film industry and Gaeta soon found herself directing her first feature film, The Way to Happiness (2007).

The Way to Happiness is an intimate drama that follows the story of a group of young people struggling to find their place in society. The film was critically acclaimed in Italy and won several awards, including Best New Director at the Rome International Film Festival.

Gaeta’s next venture was the romantic comedy, Love in the Time of Cholera (2009). This film follows the story of a young couple as they struggle to overcome their differences and stay together, despite the obstacles that come their way.
