Ana Nedeljovic is an award-winning Serbian-born filmmaker, director and screenwriter. She has made several feature films, documentaries and short films that have been screened in festivals across the world. Her works have been recognized with numerous awards, including the prestigious Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival for her 2016 feature film A Good Wife.

Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Ana studied at the Academy of Arts, University of Novi Sad, and then went on to study film and television production at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade. After completing her studies, she worked as an assistant director for several feature films before making her own.

Ana's debut feature film, Absence, was released in 2008 and earned her the FIPRESCI Prize at the Moscow International Film Festival. In 2010, she directed the documentary film Drvo (The Tree), which was awarded the Best Documentary Award at the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival. This was followed by her critically acclaimed 2012 feature film, Circles, which won the Berlin International Film Festival's Silver Bear for Best Screenplay and the European Film Awards’ Best Screenplay Award.

In 2014, Ana directed the short film The Trap, which won the Best Short Film Award at the Sarajevo International Film Festival. This was followed by her 2016 feature film A Good Wife, which earned her the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival. The film was also nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Ana has also been the recipient of numerous awards and nominations, including the Golden Lion for Best Short Film at the Venice International Film Festival for her 2018 short film, The Load. She is also the recipient of the Special Jury Award at the Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival for her 2019 documentary film, The Whistleblower.

Ana Nedeljovic is one of the most acclaimed filmmakers of her generation. Her works have been praised for their powerful themes and captivating storytelling. Her films have earned her numerous awards and nominations, making her one of the most respected directors in the industry.
