Starting with a video conference between The Dalai lama and a group of Chinese human rights lawyers, this documentary shows a multi-ethnic dialogue on civil rights in today's China.

The film records the dialogue and thinking between different ethnic groups such as Tibetans, Uygurs, and Hans in China. 

The documentary features a video dialogue between Chinese human rights lawyers, scholars and The Dalai Lama in early 2011 using the network to break through the blockade. 

Among the figures are the Dalai Lama, the Chinese Secretary-General of the Dalai Lama, Tsegyam, the Chinese rights lawyers Teng Biao and Jiang Tianyong, the professor of the Nationalities University, Ilham Tohti, and the Tibetans. Writer Woeser and Chinese independent intellectual Wang Lixiong.
