Vesela Kazakova is a Bulgarian film director, screenwriter, and producer. She is best known for her work in the recent critically acclaimed movies The World Is Big and Salvation Lurks Around the Corner and The Judgement.

Kazakova was born in Bulgaria in 1975, and showed an interest in filmmaking from a young age. She graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia in 1998, where she studied directing and screenwriting.
