Steve Patry

Steve Patry is a documentary filmmaker whose work is driven by a strong social perspective. His first feature, From Prisons to Prisons (2014), explores the lives of former inmates attempting to reintegrate into society. The film received a Special Mention from the jury at RIDM and was nominated for a Jutra Award for Best Documentary.

His second feature, Waseskun (2016), portrays daily life in an alternative house for Aboriginal men and was nominated for Best Feature Length Documentary at the Canadian Screen Awards. In I Might Be Dead By Tomorrow (2020), he turns his focus to frontline workers in Montreal, highlighting their efforts to care for the most vulnerable members of society. The film received a nomination for Best Documentary Film at the Gala Québec Cinéma.

These Wild Cats is his fourth feature documentary.
