Sterling Noren is an American filmmaker and adventurer whose career has taken him across more than thirty countries. He began his professional journey at West Michigan Public Broadcasting, where he wrote, filmed, and edited his first television documentary at the age of 21.
During the 1990s, Noren worked as a freelance video editor and producer for Microsoft Corporation and as a video journalist for Expedia’s Mungo Park. His early assignments included documenting the launch of the Space Shuttle Atlantis with guest Tom Clancy and producing live Internet video dispatches from the rainforests of Costa Rica alongside actress Shari Belafonte.
Over the years, Noren has produced and directed numerous adventure and travel documentaries for a wide range of clients, including Microsoft, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and GlobeRiders. His long-standing collaboration with Helge Pedersen began in 1998 with a short documentary for PBS KCTS Channel 9 in Seattle. He later joined Pedersen on the GlobeRiders Iceland Adventure in 2001 and the GlobeRiders World Tour across Eurasia in 2002, creating a ten-part television series for Speed TV.
Based in Seattle, Sterling Noren continues to combine his passion for storytelling, exploration, and filmmaking, bringing audiences closer to the spirit of adventure around the world.
