Sophia Gera is a Ukrainian filmmaker working across fiction and documentary cinema as both a director and cinematographer. She began her career in 2014, developing a practice rooted in personal and observational storytelling.
In 2021, she co founded the INAKSHE art project alongside artists from Donetsk, focusing on cultural and educational initiatives within the occupied city. This work laid the foundation for her later documentary projects.
In 2023, she co founded Alarm Productions, a company dedicated to creative documentaries and hybrid films. Cognition Trilogy Separation marks her debut feature, establishing her voice within contemporary independent documentary cinema.
