Sarah Zentz is an American filmmaker and television director born in 1980. She is best known for her work on popular television shows such as The Good Place, GLOW, and The Detour.

Sarah Zentz grew up in Indiana, where she developed a love of storytelling at a young age. She wrote and directed her first short film at the age of 16, which went on to be accepted into the Sundance Film Festival. After graduating from high school, she attended Brown University, majoring in English and American Literature. She also studied film production at the Rhode Island School of Design.

Sarah Zentz began her career working as a production assistant on several television shows, including Law & Order: SVU and The West Wing. She then moved into directing, with her first credit being an episode of the show “The Life.” Since then, she has directed multiple episodes of beloved television shows, such as Veep, The Good Place, GLOW, and The Detour.

In addition to her television directing credits, Sarah Zentz has also directed several short films. She has written and directed the short films “The Womb” and “Take Care,” which both premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She has also directed the short film “Mrs. Roosevelt”, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and the short film “The Backyard”, which won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
