Robert L. Camina is a celebrated director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on feature films, television shows, and documentaries.
Camina was born in San Francisco, California in 1973. He received his degree in film studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1996. After college, he worked as a production assistant on the television series The X-Files before eventually branching out as a freelance filmmaker.
In 2004, Camina wrote, directed, and produced his first feature film, Redemption Road. The movie depicted the struggles of a woman trying to escape a life of drug addiction. It was a hit with audiences and critics alike; the film was nominated for three Independent Spirit Awards and was an official selection of the Sundance Film Festival.
