**Director: Pablo Iraburu**

Born in 1969, Pablo Iraburu Allegue holds a degree in Information Sciences from the University of Navarra, where he currently teaches Documentary Film. Between 1990 and 1999 he worked as a director, camera operator, and editor on music videos, advertising spots, and institutional and corporate productions. During this period he began producing documentaries on an occasional basis, which led him to film in Asia, Africa, and the Americas, focusing from the outset on subjects of strong human interest.

In 1999 he founded Arena Comunicación Audiovisual, a production company committed to using communication as a platform for projects that aim to contribute positively to society. Since its creation, Arena has worked extensively with NGOs, foundations, publishers, and public institutions. In its early years, Iraburu collaborated with organisations such as the United Nations, the European Union, and the International Red Cross.

Following the growth of Arena, Iraburu moved into feature length documentary filmmaking with *Nömadak Tx*, where he served as executive producer, co writer, and co director alongside Raúl de la Fuente. After this project, he produced and co directed *Pura Vida / The Ridge* with Migueltxo Molina, a documentary that chronicles the rescue attempt of a mountaineer near the summit of Annapurna in the Himalayas.

Pablo Iraburu is the founder of Arena Comunicación and has worked as executive producer, co director, and screenwriter on several internationally distributed feature documentaries, including *Nömadak Tx* (2006), *Pura Vida / The Ridge* (2012), *Muros* (2015), *District Zero* (2015), and *Elkarrekin Together* (2016). Alongside his work as a filmmaker, he produces audiovisual pieces for museums and NGOs such as Medicus Mundi, Oxfam, and the United Nations, and continues to teach documentary filmmaking at the University of Navarra.
