Naiara Eizaguirre Paulos is an accomplished director, writer, and producer from Spain. She is best known for her award-winning 2018 film, “Amor Ausente”, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.

Paulos was born in San Sebastián, Spain in 1984. As a child, she was passionate about film, often watching movies with her father. At the age of 19, she moved to Madrid to study film at the Autonomous University of Madrid, where she graduated in 2008.

After graduation, Paulos began her career in the film industry, starting out as an assistant director and working her way up to a director. She has worked on several short films, including “El Día de la Muerte”, “Luz de Invierno”, and “Un Cuento de Navidad”.

In 2014, Paulos wrote and directed her debut feature film, “Vida”. The film tells the story of a young Spanish girl who is sent to live with her aunt and uncle in a small town in Mexico. The film was a critical and commercial success, earning Paulos several awards and nominations, including Best First Feature from the Goya Awards.

In 2018, Paulos released her second feature film, “Amor Ausente”. The film follows the story of three young women on a road trip in search of their lost loved ones. The film was nominated for an Academy Award for Best International Feature Film, and won numerous awards, including Best Film and Best Director at the Goya Awards.

Paulos is currently working on her third feature film, “Cumbres Borrascosas”, which is set to be released in 2020. She is also working on a television series, “The Time Traveler”, which she wrote and is producing.
