Michael Poetschko studied fine arts, film, photography, philosophy, and cultural studies in Salzburg, London, Vienna, Berlin, and New York City. His cinematic works have been projected and exhibited internationally, most notable at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin, and the Viennale.
He has participated in manifold international artist residencies and received numerous scholarships and grants, among them the State grant for art from the Republic of Austria.
He is currently working on his feature film debut.
