BIO

Michael Lawrence is an American film director and editor from Los Angeles, California. He is best known for directing the hit films “The Hangover Part III” (2013) and “We’re the Millers” (2013). He is also credited with being one of the lead editors for “The Hangover Part II” (2011).

Lawrence began his career in the film industry working as an editor and assistant editor on numerous television shows and independent films. He then went on to direct music videos for various artists.

In 2011, Lawrence directed his first feature film “The Hangover Part II”, which grossed over $581 million worldwide. His next project was the critically acclaimed “We’re the Millers” (2013), which was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards and grossed over $270 million worldwide.

Lawrence has also directed several short films and commercials. His short film “Flawless” (2010) won the Best Short Film Award at the San Diego Film Festival.

In addition to his work in film, Lawrence has directed a number of television shows, including “The Big Bang Theory”, “Modern Family”, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, “Arrested Development”, and “The Office”.

Lawrence is currently developing a comedy series for ABC, and is in post-production on his next feature film “The Night Before” starring Seth Rogen.
