Michael Fassbender (born 2 April 1977) is a German-born Irish actor. He played Lt. Archie Hicox in Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. His other credits include Jane Eyre, the Sky One television series Hex, the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, Zack Snyder's 300, and the 2008 BAFTA-winning film Hunger. In June 2011, Fassbender will play a young Magneto in the upcoming superhero film, X-Men: First Class.
