Komeil Soheili is an award winning Iranian director, producer, and adjunct professor at the Korean University of Media Arts. He holds an MA in Cultural Studies and Media from the University of Tehran and explores cultural and environmental issues through a sociological lens. His films have been featured by BBC, National Geographic, CNN, and Business Insider, and have received recognition at major festivals such as the Seoul Eco Film Festival (Grand Award), Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (NAFF), Meihodo International Film Festival, and GZDocs (Golden Kapok Award).
Soheili has also served as a jury member at prominent international festivals, including the Busan International Short Film Festival (South Korea) and the Aladerri International Film Festival (USA). In addition to filmmaking, he is the author of two books, one on cinema and another on global ethnographic travel, and the founder of Yooran Film, an independent production company based in South Korea.
