José Álvarez is a renowned Mexican film director and producer, widely recognized for his powerhouse visual style and his powerful storytelling. He has made a name for himself in the international film industry, and his films have been shown at festivals around the world.

Born in Mexico City in 1975, Álvarez was a young man with a passion for art and a strong sense of creativity. He studied film at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and graduated with a degree in cinematography. After graduating, he began to pursue his dream of becoming a director and producer.

Álvarez’s first feature film was ‘The Other Side of the Sun’ in 2007, which was a psychological thriller that earned critical acclaim and established him as a powerful director.
