BIO

Jill Heinerth is an award-winning underwater explorer, filmmaker, and public speaker. She has become one of the most recognizable faces in the world of exploration and has contributed to a number of scientific research projects.

Jill was born in Toronto, Canada. She developed a love for the outdoors at an early age and enjoyed exploring the woods near her childhood home. She first learned to dive in the frigid waters of the Great Lakes and her dive career was born. Over the next few decades, Jill pushed her diving limits and developed an expertise in cave diving and exploration.

In the early 2000s, Jill began working with the National Geographic Society, where she led a number of expeditions to explore and film the underwater caves of the Yucatan Peninsula. Since then, she has taken part in a variety of expeditions and explorations. Her work has been featured in a number of documentaries and has been the subject of numerous magazine articles and books.

Jill’s passion for exploring the deep ocean has taken her to some of the most remote parts of the world. She has explored the depths of the Arctic Ocean, the Galapagos Islands, and the Great Blue Hole of Belize. Her mission is to document the wonders of the world’s oceans and to share the beauty of the natural world with others.

Awards and recognition have followed Jill throughout her career. She has been awarded the Royal Canadian Geographical Society's Gold Medal, the Explorers Club Lowell Thomas Award, and the National Geographic Society's Women of Vision Award.

Jill is also a passionate public speaker and educator. She has presented her work at numerous venues, including TEDx and the Explorers Club. She has also spoken at the International Women's Forum and the United Nations.
