Inna Denisova is a Russian film director, producer and screenwriter. She was born in St. Petersburg in 1974 and began her career in the early 2000s. Inna’s first film, The Unbearable Lightness of Being (2003), which she co-directed with her husband, Alexander Zolotukhin, won the Crystal Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival.

Inna’s next movie, Foreigners (2009), was highly praised for its realism and insight into post-Soviet Russia. The film was nominated for Best Feature Film at the Moscow International Film Festival and was awarded the Grand Prix at the Sochi Open Russian Film Festival.

In 2010, Inna wrote and directed the critically acclaimed drama, The Dreamer. The film follows a young girl's journey of self-discovery and her struggle to find her place in a rapidly changing society. The Dreamer won the Best Feature Film award at the Kinotavr Film Festival and was nominated for Best Screenplay at the Russian Guild of Film Critics’ Awards.

In 2013, Inna’s fourth feature film, The Road, was released. The Road tells the story of a young man's journey of self-discovery as he embarks on a road trip to his hometown. The film was nominated for Best Feature Film at the Moscow International Film Festival.

Inna also wrote and directed the horror film, All You Need Is Love (2015), which was selected for screening at the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2019, Inna wrote and directed the romantic comedy, The Year of the Cat.

Inna’s films are known for their dark humor and insight into post-Soviet Russia. She is a master of the visual language, creating a unique atmosphere in her films. Inna has won numerous awards for her work, including the Grand Prix at the Sochi Open Russian Film Festival and the Best Feature Film award at the Kinotavr Film Festival.
