Glenn Brown (born March 8, 1964) is an American actor and director. He is best known for his roles in the films The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Heat (1995), The Matrix (1999) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).

Born in New York City, Brown attended the High School of Performing Arts and graduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduation, he began his career on the stage, appearing in regional theater productions, including a Broadway production of The Glass Menagerie.

He made his film debut in the 1989 comedy-drama The Fabulous Baker Boys. He then had supporting roles in the films True Identity (1991), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), Heat (1995), The Matrix (1999), Zoolander (2001) and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008).

In addition to his film roles, Brown has also appeared on television shows such as Law & Order, NYPD Blue, CSI, ER, The West Wing, Bones, Grey’s Anatomy, and he had a recurring role in the fourth season of the HBO series True Blood.

In 2003, Brown made his directorial debut with the independent film The Unseen. He has since directed several other independent films, including The Good Life (2005), The Messenger (2007) and Wild Child (2008). He also directed episodes of the television series Leverage and Perception.

Throughout his career, Brown has earned many awards and nominations. He was nominated for a SAG Award for his role in The Shawshank Redemption and won a Saturn Award for his role in The Matrix. He was also nominated for an Emmy Award for his directing work on Leverage.

Brown continues to work as an actor and director. He is currently in production on the independent film The Divorce, set for release in 2020. He also recently completed work on the television series Castle Rock, based on the works of Stephen King, which is set to air in 2019.
