Fran Peek (born Francesca Peek) is an American actress known for her roles in films such as What About Bob?, A League of Their Own, and The Natural. She is perhaps best known for her role as the protagonist's mother in the popular 1990s television show, The Wonder Years.

Peek was born in White Plains, New York. She was an only child, raised in a supportive family who encouraged her to pursue her passions. She attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City, where she studied acting and dance.

After graduating, Peek was accepted into the prestigious Juilliard School of Drama, where she trained for two years. While there, she appeared in numerous plays and television shows. She also developed an interest in writing and directing, having written several plays during her time at Juilliard.

In 1985, Peek made her film debut in the comedy What About Bob? She followed this up with roles in The Natural (1984), A League of Their Own (1992) and The First Wives Club (1996).

In 1988, Peek landed the role of Norma Arnold, the loving mother of the protagonist in the hit ABC television series The Wonder Years. She appeared in all six seasons of the show, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 1991.

In addition to her acting career, Peek has been actively involved in various charitable causes. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society, and serves as an adviser to the Global Coalition on Aging.

Peek lives in Los Angeles, where she continues to act in films and television. She is an avid traveler, having visited over 25 countries, and is also passionate about writing and painting.

Peek has been married to her husband, Paul, for over thirty years. They have two children. She continues to be a role model for aspiring actors and is an inspiration to her fans everywhere.
